The Moon Mod

The moon mod for Minecraft actually enables you to build a spaceship that can transport you to the moon’s service. Once you’ve made it to the moon, you’ll be able to set up a lunar base camp, and take advantage of some really cool features in the game.

Creating a Spacesuit:

Before you can blast off for lunar surface, you’ll first need to build your spacesuit. If you try to head to the moon without making the suit first your character will die due to the lack of breathable air on the surface. You’re going to need a couple of different items to make the suit including iron, glass, wool, a leather tunic etc. Once you have all the materials you need, build your helmet, and the top and bottom parts of the suit and you’ll be ready to go.

Creating your Ship:

After you’ve made your suit, you’ll need to craft your spaceship. To build the ship you have to create some complex machinery in order to make the navigation system. You’ll also need a couple of other items to finish construction. Once your ship is ready, just right click on the cockpit, and your character will be off to the moon!

On the Moon:

Once you’re on the moon, you’ll notice a couple of cool things. First of all, you’ll be able to jump further due to the lower gravity. Because there’s no atmosphere, you’ll need to keep your suit on to stay alive. However, it is possible to build an air scrubber that will let you create breathable oxygen inside special pressure controlled areas.

You’ll also notice that you can only build things with metal while on the moon. If you try to place something like stone on the surface, it will float right off the ground because of the weak gravity. The only way you can build using other materials is by first creating a special pressure controlled chamber. Inside the chamber you can build using anything you want, and you can also have living things such as plants. However, if the chamber is damaged, you’ll lose everything you’ve built inside it.

Other Cool Things about Moon Mod:

In addition to building things on the moon, you can also smelt moon rocks into iron. Having extra iron will allow you to build even more cool things for your lunar base. If that’s not enough, once you’re on the moon you’ll be able to mine stars for more useful building materials as well.

All in all, the moon mod is a cool addition to Minecraft. Try it out for the ability to build some great new items, and to find out what it’s like to play the game in zero gravity!


How to install:

  1. Download ModLoader
  2. Download ShockAhPI r5
  3. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ShockAhPI r5!!
  4. Download The Moon
  5. Install Modloader and ShockAhPI
  6. Copy all files inside the jar folder of The Moon into root directory of minecraft.jar
  7. Make sure you have deleted META-INF
  8. Enjoy!

    yes the aether requires a custom made shockahapi made by kingsbdogz called shockahapi5.1 so yah it confilcts

    when extending your tents by connecting them to other tents with reincorced clath along the edges I still needs the space suit.

    make martions on it like npc's but bad ones and make them have a landing site and they collonise there and they build a temple with a boss at the end the size of a giant and the power to spawn spiderjockey (green) mods at you :-D and he has a ray gun with very bad accuracy and he trys to kill you with it and it shoots out a redstone mist and plants tnt were it ends and when you kill him you get the gun, and when you kill him all the martions fight for you and mine for you when you go to the nether or back to the real world and make them have there own mini ray guns with set things on fire!

    Really dissapointed in this mod. corrupted my whole minecraft. now I lost ALL my items a got from gold dungeons in aether :/
