Its the dream of humanity. Go from one palce to another in no time. Well at least we can have this in MineCraft now with the Portal Gun Mod. But thats not all. With this mod you get a bunch of other great gadgets that will make your life easier.

The Portal Gun mod for Minecraft is a modification that can be used to craft a portal gun. With the Portal Gun mod you can also craft a companion cube. Minecraft, like any other game, is a game of strategy. The goal is to get as many resources as you can so that you can survive. Sometimes resources are not always easy to get. There are often barriers and obstacles in your way that can be difficult to get through or around. That is why the Portal Gun mod is so awesome; it helps you get around those barriers.

How can the Portal Gun mod help you in Minecraft?

The Portal Gun mod lets you craft a portal gun. With the portal gun you can shoot portals and walk through them. You need two portals. One to go in and one to go out. The portal gun is really useful because it allows you to collect resources that would otherwise be out of your reach. An example would be a building block located at the bottom of a hole. With the portal gun you can shoot a portal on a wall where you are, then jump down and get the block and shoot another portal on the wall of the hole to get out. You would come out at the top of the hole where you shot the first portal. You could use the portal gun to get a lot of resources, including turrets. The Portal Gun mod also lets you craft your own companion cube (so you won’t be alone).

Overall, the Portal Gun mod is very useful. With it you could get almost anything in Minecraft. The resources you could get using the portal gun seem endless. The Poral Gun mod is a must have.

How to install:

Download MC Forge API
Download the Portal Gun Mod zip file
Drag files in ” place in resources” into your resources folder in run/%appdata%/roaming/.minecraft/
Drag files in ” place in mods” into your mods folder ( after you downloaded modloader and test it it should auto create this folder, if not create a new one)
In “place in mods” there is Portalgun<version>.zip into minecraft.jar folder

you only require forge and the mod for 1.4.7

This mod is AWSOME. I did have to place it directly in the minecraft.jar though. it wouldn’t work if I just placed it in the mods folder.

I installed the mod, it works but I can’t see through the portals. It’s just black if it’s nighttime or light blue if it’s morning, etc.

Ok guys, this really isn’t that complicated. If you’re really having that much trouble, try iChun’s portal mod. It’s basically the same thing, but with slightly different items. I installed iChun’s within five minutes.

Okay heres to help the idiots out there. Click the download link. Click the second one thats not facebook. If the quiz pops up exit out and click it again until the adfly one comes up usually second time. Wait 6 seconds then click in the upper right hand corner it should say Skip Ad. Then you’ll be redirected to mediafire, then click download in the green box, it is 371.66 kb then install it. Quit being dumb too.
