When it comes to Minecraft and its many mods, there are tons to choose from. Given this fact, that also means that there are a ton that get buried underneath the more popular ones, despite how clever and in the case of the Moses mod, incredibly helpful. Let's take a closer look at what you're getting with this mod.
The Moses mod is only allowed in creative mode of Minecraft (as opposed to survival mode) and is used to, you guessed it, separate bodies of water for up to 150 blocks, allowing you to traversing the ocean floor and make great shortcuts when running around in creative mode with friends.
This of course does not mean that you are limited to 150 blocks or that the staff (this is the item that comes with the mod, the Staff of Moses) has a set numbers of uses. It simply means that once you use it, 150 blocks in front of you with disappear, so long as they are liquid, and once you get to the end, if there’s still water, then you can use it again. It is assumed that the 150 blocks setup is used to make the staff a bit more practical so that the effect does travel all the way through the world and ruin a nice solitary pond somewhere.
There are multiple YouTube videos detailing the inner workings of the mod and all of the fun it can bring to the table and the best part is that it’s free. So next time you want to wow or surprise your friends when building together, or if you’re just hungry for more obscure and fun mods, be sure to check out the Moses mod for Minecraft whenever you get the time.
