The Ferullo's Guns mod brings more than 20 guns and explosives of all sorts to the world of "Minecraft." Adding endless hours of fun to the already addicting "Minecraft," the mod provides players with a way to defend themselves against the enemies of the game world and allows them to protect the immense structures they've spent hours building.
Markus “Notch” Persson created an immense, addicting video game that flew in the face of popular game design when it launched with no firearms of any sort. Players could create just about anything they would like in the game world. Their only limit was their imagination — and various creatures of the night and enemies that would rather destroy these creations than let them stand. Enter Ferullo — a modder, who in partnership with Deadrecon98, created what has become known as Ferullo’s Guns mod. Released in 2012, and subsequently upgraded and improved upon since then, the game adds more than 20 guns to the game — adding onto the already endless possibilities for fun.
Glorious guns means glorious fun
Once players download and install the mod, they’re greeted with well-known guns, such as the AK47, the M16, a minigun and even a flamethrower. Players can dump the weapons on the map, where ever they would like. But instead of simply being ornaments to decorate the walls of various creations, they can be picked up and fired in dazzling displays. Each weapon has its own firing modes. Players can turn bandit, raiding the world and slaughtering wildlife, enemy creatures and just about anything else they come across. The explosives have the power to destroy structures and amass damage where ever fired. An included jetpack ensures players can take the skies as an aerial death machine, raining down destruction from afar. The mod paves the way for various other gametypes, such as zombie hunting modes, which have already begun to pop up on servers. But one of the most important aspects of the mod is the increased ability for players to protect themselves and their creations from the deadly creepers and other deadly mobs that roam the night. These enemies can pose trouble for anyone — except those packing the serious heat of an M16.
