Minecraft is really fun to play with other people, but there are a lot of situations in which you may not be able to play with others - and Minecraft is just less fun without that interaction - if only the game had NPCs. This is where the custom NPCs mod comes into play, allowing players to spawn NPCs throughout their world, all of them doing a verity of different things, bringing the world to life.
The farmer will tend to crops, the Doctor will hel you for the amount you specify, and the Shopkeeper will sell items to you and buy items from you with a new currency that this mod adds – dollars.
Every single one of these mobs has a number of settings that their creator can set. Some of them like mob size are universal, but there are also mob specific settings, like setting how much it costs to buy specific items from the shopkeeper or how much health the doctor can actually heal. In addition to menu modifications there are also a huge number of new items you can equip them with, from amazing looking new clothes to staves and other items they can hold.
Molding a World
While this can help make your single player world a bit more bright, this mod really shines when it’s used on a mutltiplayer server. I’m not suggesting that you should just allow anyone to spawn NPC though. Instead, this mod is fantastic for setting up worlds for other people to play in. Build whole towns with shops, hospitals and houses throughout the world and let your players explore them. The default game’s villages lack a certain something – a certain amount of realism and engagement that this mod absolutely nails.
