The Biosphere Mod for Minecraft is a mod that puts a new edge on the gaming interface by creating your universe inside of glass dome spheres - each sphere containing a different biome. This mod is useful in keeping a player entertained. The glass domes are connected and accessible to each other with the use of fences.
This “glass domes” generator can be switched on or off in the “more worlds” option, making game play with this mod easy and simple. The Biosphere Mod for Minecraft by Risugami creates a world entirely composed of floating giant glass spheres that each contain a different biome connected only by wooden bridges, with additional unconnected spheres of solid stone as the primary sources of ore and diamonds.
All Of The Biomes
Every biosphere in the Biosphere Mod holds a biome unrelated to the rest and you can spawn in any of them. It’s possible to have a calm forest adjacent to the Nether. Appropriate creatures spawn in each. All of the official biomes are included, such as:
- Mushroom island
To use the Biosphere Mod you select it in More World Options when you first create a world. You can also change many options in the mod’s configuration file.
Each sphere has a random change of generating a lake with a sandy shore or rarely a lava of lava with a gravel shore.
While the bottom halves of each sphere are stone and may contain caves, you can only obtain diamond or lapis lazuli by bridging out to the stone orbs. The main spheres’ caves use a modified Nether cave generator and as such generate lava. Obsidian walls will be made to contain lava that reaches the exterior of a sphere.
