Attachable Grinder Mod for Minecraft 1.7.4 / 1.7.2 / 1.6.4 & 1.5.2
The attachable grinder mod for Minecraft adds in a new item called the grinder. The grinder is placed on a mob and the mob will spit out a certain item corresponding to the mob type. After a short period of time the mob will explode and destroy the area around it. The grinder is useful because the recipe isn’t too expensive, and it can help you acquire specific resources from mobs that might normally take a long time to gather.
What Does This Mod Add To Minecraft?
The attachable grinder mod essentially makes it easier to gather specific resources, which makes it a quality of life improvement for the game. The Grinder itself costs four iron ingots, four brick ingots and one red stone dust. The grinder is created out of a crafting box.
To place the grinder on a mob after you’ve created it, you simple right click on the mob with the grinder selected on your hotbar. The grinder works on 6 different types of mobs. The mobs are cows, chickens, pigs, skeletons, zombies and creepers. Each mob puts out a different type of item. When you place the grinder on the mob, it will have its own animation and will shoot the item out of the area where the grinder is located on the mob. Cows will spit out raw beef, pigs will put out raw pork chops, chickens will put out feathers, zombies will put out rotten flesh, skeletons will put out bone meal, and creepers will put out gunpowder. As stated earlier, the grinder will not infinitely produce the item since the mob will continually take damage and eventually die. When the mob dies a small explosion is produced from the mob. The explosion will destroy any items on the ground nearby. It’s worth noting that the creeper explosion is much larger and about the size of a normal creeper explosion.
This mob is ideal for anyone who wants an alternative way to gather useful resources from mobs without having to kill them.
